by Susan Oleferuk
The moon swims through the dark sky
cresting and submerging under the stormy clouds
sure of her route
landing weakly on the foamy shore
drifting above earth in the morning
What thinks this lonely swimmer of the night
in the dark far from her kin, spirit and kind
beloved yet all alone
resting away days in solitude
raged by time and tide.
