during the meeting
the boss
told me
a string
of things
I did wrong,
like clocking in
at 9:01
when we’re
supposed to clock in
at 9:00
and a few other things
like that
and everyone
sat there
listening
to these
things
and I kept thinking
how hellish
it must be
if I
actually did
something wrong,
and then they ended the meeting
and I walked out
to the building
where I stand guard,
the radiation—
that I signed paperwork saying I was all right with being exposed to—
slowly seeping
into everything.
